Project Background

On this project we have started from the beginning. Javelin was involved in tender preparation, evaluation of tender and wining process of the job then implementation of the project. AdelaideAqua is a consortium of companies formed by Abigroup, McConnell Dowell, Acciona and United Utilities Australia.

Scope of Services

Adelaide Desalination Plant will deliver up 100 billion litres of water a year which equates to about half of Adelaide’s water supply. We developed project programmes and construction schedules. Javelin introduced EVMS system to control this 1.8 billion dollars project progress.

 

 

M5 East Freeway

Project Background
The M5 East major Sydney freeway including the longest Australian road tunnel. The total value of the job was more than $650 million dollars. The project was completed three months ahead of target time and ahead of budget.

Scope of Services
Javelin played a major part in winning the tender for the largest single awarded construction project in Australia. We provided construction programs, project progress control and reporting service.

Australian Rail Track Corporation

Project Background
ARTC West is responsible for NSW country rail network. The network is divided into CRN and Leased sections and 4 Provisioning Centers. All together ARTC West has to manage more than 300 projects per year. Javelin was selected to establish project control system for progress monitoring of  these projects.

Scope of Services
Javelin has developed database and Primavera schedules to monitor time, budget and cost for both budget and scope for all of the projects ARTC West is responsible.

Melbourne City Link Tollway

Project Background
Melbourne City Link Project major toll way. The total value of the job was more than $2 billion dollars.

Scope of Services
Javelin designed and implemented a time and KPI progress monitoring system for the $500 million Western Link part of the project. The project was completed on time. The planning/scheduling software used was Primavera P3, SureTrak, MS-Access databases, Excel spreadsheets and graphical reports.

Malacca Straight Gas Pipeline

6.5 kilometers of gas pipeline across Malacca Straight. This $20 million project was the most challenging undertaken by Javelin. The technical complexity and new technology made this project very difficult for contractors and sub-contractors.
